Agent Profile

Leslie moved to San Francisco in 1993 and fell in love — in love with the city’s diverse architecture and people, its hills and valleys, the character of its neighborhoods, and the wonderful quality of light (and life) by the Bay. Having earned her BA in Business from University of Maryland, she pursued a Masters in Fine Arts in photography at San Francisco Art Institute, and she and her camera took in every inch of the city’s 49 square miles.

Soon, Leslie’s love for living in San Francisco evolved into a passion for helping others find their perfect place here, too. She became a real estate agent and quickly established herself as a leader in the condominium market, with extensive knowledge of market trends and her finger on the pulse of San Francisco’s dynamic neighborhoods and ever-changing cityscape. In 2007, finding that there was no central online resource for information on new construction in the city, she spearheaded the introduction of Highrises.com, tracking the progress of illustrious new buildings including The Lumina, The Harrison, One Rincon, The Pacific, and so many others.

Being in the know when it comes to new constructions, from the moment they break ground to “topping off,” means she can get you in early and ensure that you get the very best deal. And no one knows the ins and outs of condo living like Leslie does. Through her blog, SFRising.com, she provides local buyers and those looking to relocate to San Francisco with important news about condo communities and lifestyles, properties not listed on the MLS, homeowner association information, floor plans and more.

For those looking to sell, she offers a wealth of knowledge about home preparation, staging services, and strategic marketing. She has a keen eye, fantastic attention to detail, and a trusted team of professionals who can help make your home, and your listing, sparkle.

Leslie knows that buying or selling a home is among the most significant financial and emotional endeavors in one’s life, so she plans each step from beginning to end and keeps you informed through every phase, making the process seamless for you.

When not assisting clients, Leslie can be found playing baseball with her son, enjoying San Francisco’s vibrant art and music scenes, and running races up and down all those gorgeous hills.

“We worked with Leslie over a year and a half to find our place. That says it all. She truly devotes herself to ingesting what are the needs, musts, and wants of her clients. We took our time and always felt that was what we should do vs. being nudged into a purchase. She helped us identify and negotiate extras that were high value, plus she continued to do this after entering into contract! This is my sixth home purchase and, by far, my most positive. Of course there were ups, downs, and surprises (positive and negative) as these purchases are crazy huge compared to daily life, yet throughout, Leslie provided patient and expert advice and support.”

“I met Leslie six years ago when I was looking for my first San Francisco condominium. I found her through a random web search for condominiums in the South Beach/Mission Bay area, and what a great find she has been. We have worked together now on three purchase and two sale transactions, and every time I am very happy she is on my side. None of these deals were easy, but Leslie is diligent and perseveres through all issues and potential complications. Leslie knows the San Francisco market very well, so whether you are buying or selling, she has the market knowledge, resources, and contacts to make either transaction easier and the most profitable for you. Leslie is a fantastic business partner and fun to work with. I always felt that she was looking out for my best interests, and is definitely the realtor you want on your team for any real estate transactions in San Francisco.”

“Leslie is fantastic! She is extremely patience, as I met her to look for property almost 4 years before we ended up buying a home. Our needs continued to evolve throughout the years and she was very flexible and accommodating. When it came down to putting in an offer for our current home, she walked us through every step of the process. She was also extremely supportive throughout the closing process and was helpful in making recommendations for local contractors, designers, gardeners, chimney cleaners, etc. Leslie was always responsive and never pushy throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!”

“I am so grateful to have found Leslie. I would give her 6 stars if I could. She patiently guided me through the process of buying my first home from start to finish. I couldn’t have done it without her powerful support. With her incredible knowledge of San Francisco, she helped me clarify what I was looking for and find my dream apartment. She then walked me through the nitty gritty of finding a mortgage, figuring out my finances, and sorting out all the details of closing costs, taxes, insurance, home inspections, etc. she was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of buying a home. There were so many points at which I thought I would lose my mind but Leslie was there to help. She is more than just a real estate agent! I could not have done this without her.”

“We have purchased or sold many homes over the years and have worked with many fine real estate agents. Leslie is one of the very best agents that we have had the pleasure to work with. Her comments and advice were always thoughtful and helpful. She also spent a great deal of time with us looking at alternative properties and was always responsive and available. She has command of the San Francisco real estate market and local procedures. We can highly recommend her.”

“Working with Leslie was truly a pleasure. She spent a significant amount of time with me over two full years before I pulled the trigger on my dream apartment. She never pushed me into making a decision and was always a great sounding board. I never felt like Leslie was trying to get me to close on a deal that wasn’t in my best interest. I can’t thank her enough!”

“Leslie was absolutely amazing at helping us find our San Francisco dream home. As first time home buyers the San Francisco market can be overwhelming given the competition and the pace at which deals move, but Leslie was there every step of the way for us from finding us an absolutely beautiful home to working through the minutiae of the deal. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Leslie! Thank you!!”

“Leslie is outstanding. I’m new to the bay area so I don’t have many points of comparison, but if I ever need to venture in the housing market again the realtor will be the last thing that I change.
She knows the SF condo market by heart, and was patient to suggest and resuggest properties based on our consistently changing parameters. Being relatively unfamiliar with a lot of neighborhoods, working with Leslie was not just a pleasure, but also a phenomenal learning experience. Even though it may not be in a realtor’s interest to drag out the time it takes from getting preapproved and signing, Leslie prioritized our needs and suggested vast number of options, and never rushed us. In hindsight, the property we closed on is an obvious choice given our lifestyle, but the process that led us to discover that is one that can’t be underwent without professional advice and patience, both of which Leslie had.
Finally, after having worked with a vast number of incompetent people in the industry (finding a competent lender in particular was a complete headache), one notable thing Leslie does better than everyone else I worked with is her responsiveness. She really worked on my schedule, even though there are times where she’s out of town or unable to meet us in person, she’s always responded to our messages and calls instantaneously – even though we were slow to decide on what we wanted, we had the comfort of knowing that once we make a decision Leslie would be ready with telling us about next steps.”

“Leslie is very patient, knowledgeable, professional and reliable. She listened well when we described what we were looking for in a home, then sent through lots of great listings that met our needs. On occasion she previewed homes to save us time, and checked in with us often along the way, to make sure our questions were being answered and needs met. Ultimately she helped us find and secure our dream home, by helping us craft a competitive offer. I recommend her emphatically and without hesitation to friends looking to buy their first or 100th home in the city.”

“Leslie helped us find an apartment in San Francisco a couple of years back. Since it was a second home for us, we were initially tentative about buying, but Leslie was very persistent, knowledgeable and compelling in convincing us to buy our property within a year of meeting her at an open house in the city. Even after the sale she has kept in touch and we would definitely recommend her and use her for any other property transactions in the future.”
