Agent Profile

My full name is Rick McDaniel, but I’m better known as Rick Scotch. I lead my life with a motto that I say to myself everyday “Life is Good.”

I spent more than a decade in the financial investment world as a market strategist and financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan. An entrepreneur by nature with a deep love of real estate, I decided to leave the finance industry and pursue my passion of building a real estate practice. My purpose is to match real estate with my clients’ lifestyles and help the ambitious with their real estate needs. I believe today’s real estate agent needs to not only know the marketplace but really know specific lifestyle solutions for their client to enjoy their new home and new community.

With my capabilities in technology, creative marketing, asset evaluation and negotiation, my goal is to help my clients become successful homeowners and sellers. Whether they are buying their first house, acquiring a first investment property, or selling a home, I carefully guide my clients every step of the way through their buying, investing, and selling experience.

I love spending time with my wife Arlen and two sons, Jameson and Noah. Originally from San Francisco, my wife and I four years ago decided to move to “LA LA Land,” specifically Downtown Los Angeles where we were able to enjoy the loft lifestyle and city life. After the birth of my second son we decided it was time to move back to the Bay Area.

While I love being in suits, you can also find me sporting my converse and my many hats. Some other hobbies and things I enjoy doing is creating digital content through video and photography, playing sports, hosting and entertaining events or gatherings, reading a good fiction book, having great conversations with fellow entrepreneurs, smoking cigars, and enjoying a great spirit beverage.
