Representing
the developer of One Rincon Hill, Matt received an intensive education in real
estate economics and finance, giving him a deep understanding of the complexities
and nuances associated with major real estate developments. Likewise, and in order to ascend to one of
the top producing agent there, Matt always took to heart the wants and needs of
prospective buyers. Matt says it best
himself, "This experience at One Rincon Hill taught me to strategize on how to
bring people together, with different goals, and negotiate the best possible
outcome for both parties such that they are both better off: On the one hand, I
had to understand the Developers' overall goals, from sales and marketing, to
finance, disclosure, punch list, buyer
walkthrough's, deadlines and ultimately, closings; while on the other hand, I
had to really learn to empathize with my clients, the potential buyers, and

Resident Realtor: Chris Lim on South Beach

SOUTH BEACH: Looking Forward to the Future
by Chris Lim
During the past decade we've witnessed the rise of San Francisco's most
innovative and dynamic neighborhood, South Beach. Evolving from a chaos of
parking lots, body shops and night clubs, South Beach is now the address to
fast-forward restaurants, shops and, best of all, people. But what's most
thrilling about South Beach isn't its past, or even its present, but its
future.
The heartbeat of South Beach begins with AT&T Park. Since the opening
day, April 11th, 2000, the new home of the San Francisco Giants has led to the dramatic
transformation of South Beach. With the legions of die-hard baseball fans
came an advent of bars and restaurants. Momo's, Pete's Tavern, and Paragon are
great places to eat and drink. District and South are both upscale wine bars.
Since moving to the South Beach area over 4 years ago, I've seen a
proliferation of both chain and local restaurants. Waterbar, Epic Roasthouse,
Amici's Pizza, Starbucks, Crossroads Cafe, Delancey Street Restaurant, and
Town's End are all excellent choices.

Soon South Beach will be defined by a continuous crescent of retail, dining,
entertainment, tourism and living opportunity bracketed between the Embarcadero
and 2nd Street. The neighborhood is a shining example to the world of urban
planning and renewal, evolving the urban experience to one of balance,
diversity, opportunity and quality. For South Beach, what's behind us is
fascinating. What's with us today is fantastic. And what's in store for our
future is thrilling.
